Exclusive: Researchers Find Vitamin D May Stimulate Hair Growth

Most of us know milk for its ability to create strong bones and prevent osteoporosis. Today, new studies indicate that milk, and specifically its vitamin D content, may be critical in the creation and restoration of natural hair. Research teams at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco have recently pin-pointed tiny vitamin D receptors at or around hair follicles that, when supplied with ample vitamin D, may rouse dormant hair follicles and promote natural growth. This is exciting news in the fight against hair loss, as it is dormant hair follicles that are the primary cause for thinning, shedding, or balding hair.
